All my working life I have been active in higher education in the Netherlands. Starting out as an educational advisor at a faculty of the Delft University of Technology, I focused more and more on education support processes. Initially on the study tracking process and also broadening my scope to MBO. Then I got to sink my teeth into the whole registration process by being involved in the development of Studielink from the beginning. After that I started doing more and more projects in the field of planning and scheduling. A very interesting area, involving a lot of information and people.

In recent years mainly involved in new developments in education, namely flexibilization and lifelong development. I do this both within MBO as information advisor and within HBO as educational logistics advisor. It is interesting to convert a vision of the future to the supporting processes. In this whole process, a well-stocked educational catalog is important so that for both regular students and course participants it becomes clear what their choices are for putting together their own study route. More choices also means a different way of planning and scheduling, because ultimately, as an institution, you have to be able to live up to a student’s choices. This does require a different and new planning and scheduling process in which student demand is central.

My strength lies primarily in analyzing and working through problems and processes. Problems are usually more complex than people think, but usually require simple solutions. Sometimes these are obvious, but often there is more to it than meets the eye. I like to think creatively in search of the right solutions and then implement them together with the customer.
